It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get you guys a good Denim Diary. With pregnancy and a changing body (both during and after), last year I struggled to give you guys solid jean insight. Now that my body is back to “normal”, I feel much more confident in being able to provide you with a jean comparison that is fair across the board!
So that officially means that Denim Diary is BACK IN ACTION!
And we’re kicking if off with a pair of jeans, the Isabel Trouser from Ariat, that are, without a doubt, my new favorite pair. Enjoy!
Style + Brand Name: Isabel Trouser from Ariat
Type: Trouser
Rise: Mid Rise
Fit: Slim Hip/Thigh, Wide Leg
Rating: 9.5/10
Holy moly. I’ve had these trousers for a few weeks now, and when I say that I’ve worn them 90% of my days, I am not lying. These Isabel Trouser jeans are my NEW FAVORITE!!
What I love most about these jeans is that they’re extremely versatile, and fit any lifestyle. I had them starched for photos, and also wore them for some ranch/cow work. They did great in both settings—looking classy enough for a professional environment, and held up incredibly well in a work setting.
They are a dark wash with some faint whiskering below the front and back pockets. The back pockets feature a simple, white stitched design.
I’m a size 6, and I have a 28 in these, so I would recommend buying your true size. I’m 5’7” and usually purchase a “long” in my inseams. I bought these in a “long” inseam, which is a 35” inseam. I typically cuff my jeans for work, to ensure they’re long enough to be worn with wedges or a heeled boot. These jeans are a blend of 93% cotton, 5% polyester, 2% spandex, so they do have some stretch to them, without being considered a “stretch jean”.
These come in waist sizes from 25-34, and inseam sizes of 31” (short), 33” (regular), 35”(long), AND 37” (extra long). These are great for those of you who are on the taller side since a 37” inseam is hard to find!
